Karen Waldrup is a Louisiana-born, Nashville-based country artist known for blending classic country sound with Louisiana soul, authentic storytelling, and a genuine love for her fans. A Top 5 finalist on Season 25 of NBC's The Voice (Team Dan + Shay), Karen has charted on Billboard, been featured in Rolling Stone, People, and CMT, and built Waldrup Worldwide - a fan community over a million strong - through years of showing up online and in person with heart and honesty. She's currently gearing up for the release of her newest album, No Way Back.
Behind every show, every song, and every fan interaction is a small, scrappy team running a real independent music business, and Karen's internship program gives students a seat at that table. Interns get a true 360-degree view of what it takes to build and run an independent artist career, with hands-on experience across digital marketing, tour management, artist management, social media and creative content, press and PR, and day-to-day admin.
This is a chance for students to put their music business education into action alongside Karen's team. Interns leave with practical experience, a portfolio of real work, and firsthand insight into what it takes to turn passion into a career in the music industry.
