I love the work environment working with a close knit group of professional and talented women. It makes me feel empowered and confident.
What I wish was different
I obviously wish it didn’t have to be virtual but that’s what the times are now. I also wish the team meetings were on zoom so I could see people’s faces!
Advice
Definitely be ready to write, this is a perfect internship to get experience and have a lot of bylines and it’s helped my writing improve so much. I’m glad I’m also getting 8 credits for this internship because even though it’s unpaid, it’s worth it taking up that many credits.

What I liked
I enjoyed the challenge of having to write 6-8 articles each week. It taught me how to time manage, and to write meticulously and efficiently.
What I wish was different
I wish I could come up with my own articles I wanted to write about instead of writing about horoscopes. It was interesting at first, but then you just hope to get your ideas across.
Advice
It's important to finish as many articles as you can. The reason why they ask you to write so many each week, is so that the editors can have all the options to choose from.
